In an effort to improve an existing yield management tool, we decided to tackle the inventory piece as the first step. The existing tool did not allow for operators to change their inventory and create inventory restrictions which created a barrier for operators to develop a self serve behavior. This created a significant amount of manual labor from both sides. After rounds of user interviews we pinpointed the main needs and created designs/prototypes to test.
Multiple rounds of usability testing for both mobile and desktop with operators and internal team members.
